I really wanted to like this TV. It has a great price (Sam's Club) for all that you get. Where I have the problem is that during some of the ads, where the ad takes up only a portion of the screen and the top/bottom of the ad is bordered by about 3-4 inches of black, there are white pixels turning on/off - some on all of the time. This only occurs during these ads - all of the other ads and video (DVDs,...) appear to be very good. So why should I care about problems with an ad. Well, this makes me concerned that Vizio has not gotten all of the details down. Along this line, literally, I have seen where a white line drawn across a screen has some red remnants around it. Once again, it makes me concerned with details. Discussed with Sam's Club technician (very friendly/knowledgeable), but to no avail. As I said, I really wanted to like the TV but it still needs some fine tuning. If you can get by some of these details, the TV is very nice.

I like this TV but not how it is being marketed.
Since the vizio commercials contain quite-apparent youtube clips in them, it is EXTREMELY disappointing to find out that NO youtube app is even possible on the brand new VIZIO I just purchased. what did they mean by showing youtube clips in their commercials, then? wishful thinking?
Also, a web enabled tv that is not suitable for web browsing is about as useful as a hose that is not suitable enough to allow drinking. you can wet your garden but you can't quench your thirst!
I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of the pictures, but not of the incomplete internet features: Weather radar app and Netflix feature are golden. Flickr and Pandora are useful. However, Facebook app is sluggish and limited. Don't expect to see the trademark layout, content and features of facebook that you could imagine if you hear a TV with facebook on it. It's more like how people can accessing facebook from an old, slow, non-apple, camera phone. Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars and not a bad product for the price.
Wireless connectivity apparently only works with routers, NOT other devices (widi, ad hoc, etc). Couldn't get bluetooth devices to connect either, after several attempts. Remote control is ok, QWERTY-based, but typing on the buttons can be awkward, since they mimic a basic TV remote, not as convenient as hammering away on a phone or remote wireless key pad. The keystrokes are recorded with such delay that you will not approach any WPM records.

This is my third Vizio HDTV and as pleased as I am with the first two, this one blows them away.
Easy to set up, including the internet connection, the process took less time than unpacking the set and putting it in place.
The picture is bright and very sharp. The audio is clear and well-balanced. The only complaint is the Vizio logo which lights up the front - but then I was never a fan of sets which don't go completely black when they are not in use.
A true bargain.

I've had this TV for about a week now and am very satisfied with my decision thusfar. I researched it for about a month reading reviews on various websites and price checking before purchasing it through Dell. Set up was a breeze..... remote control, wireless connection and adding devices was a snap. The wireless works very well when streaming netflix; some reviews i read stated they had speed issues that created jitters, but i have had no issues thusfar. It can take a minute or so to "load" movies and apps that use the internet at times but not a major issue. The picture quality is top notch - vibrant color, smooth motion and rich blacks. I previously had a 42" DLP HDTV that I THOUGHT was great, however the picture on the Vizio put it to shame....no comparison. I have a satelite receiver, DVD player, DTV antenna and a desktop PC all connected to the television and use the "digital optical audio out" from the television to my Onkyo receiver. I read a review that stated he couldn't get true Dolby output to his receiver via the optical connection, when i connected mine this way i had no issues. You DO have to be sure to set the output on the Vizio to "Dolby Digital" rather than "PCM" for it to work properly though. The only cons so far are that it has "locked up" once requiring me to unplug to reset it and once it would display a "pinkish" picture if I changed channels on the satelite. The only way to get it to display correctly was to switch input with the remote from say "HDMI 1" to "HDMI 2". The picture then displayed full color. I powered it off and on and the problem went away. These are the only two issues i've had and it seems "rebooting" it cleared the problem. This is the only reason I didn't rate it a "5". I may go back before my manufacturer's warranty runs out and by the extended coverage just to cover my bases.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Great quality and great price....a lot of bang for the buck!

My friend and I bought the same tv and are both having the same problem. The tv turns off randomly. It can be on an hour or all day and it will just turn off. Otherwise, it's a great tv. Love the picture and apps. Just don't like it randomly turning off.
